Sierra Vista: United We Stand
In remembrance of the tragedy that unfolded on September 11, 2001, we will be taking the day in class to discuss the impact of that day. In addition, the school will be involved in creating a chain link in which students are writing statements of what Freedom means to them, why they are proud to be an American as well as dedicating their link to someone important to them that has fought or is continuing to fight for our freedom. Students will walk outside their classrooms during RELAX tomorrow to show our unity and respect for those who lost their lives and for those who continue to fight for our freedom. In addition, to that day, we are creating a tribute wall in class and I have asked students to send in pictures of those who have served or is continuing to serve or to draw pictures or write poems for the wall. I will be posting a photo of the wall as it will be up for the entire year. I have included a video that I will be playing to students in class tomorrow.
